When Health Gets Flagged
Currently, 90% of women’s health organizations experience social media censorship. Essential medical terms like "menopause," "periods," and "hormones" are routinely flagged by AI as inappropriate adult content, making it nearly impossible to run ads. To outsmart the algorithm, we utilized a cognitive phenomenon called "typoglycemia." The human brain can easily read words if the first and last letters are in the correct place, but machine algorithms cannot. We launched the #UncensorYourHealth campaign with scrambled, algorithm-proof ads. Then, we took it a step further by building a custom, free web tool that allowed any women-led business to scramble their own copy—empowering an entire silenced community to finally speak freely.

A Clever Hack Becomes a Movement
The campaign didn't just solve an advertising problem; it sparked a wider conversation across the advertising and tech industries, earning praise from major outlets like CBS and AdAge. The movement gained massive traction, generating 70M+ earned impressions as brands and individuals used our custom community tool to create 1,000s of uncensored messages. Most importantly, the strategy delivered tangible business results, driving a 289% increase in website traffic for Ladywell.
Next projects.
